Splash Bay and Three Months Old Already!

Two weekends ago Dad and Mom G. and Eric, Grant, Brooke, and I met Kathi and Chad in Toledo, OH for a weekend getaway at the Holiday Inn/Splash Bay water park. We made the mistake of telling Grant about a week in advance that we'd be making this trip, and were asked almost every day if "this was the day" to go to the water park! We had a fantastic time. It was just so nice catching up with Chad and Kathi (and seeing her cute little preggo belly for the last time before she has the baby!). I think Grant was a prune by the time the weekend was over, as he spent HOURS in the water.
Grant all smiles after sliding down the water slide for the umpteenth time

Looks real excited to be sportin' a bathing suit, huh?

This is probably the only pregnant lady in a bathing suit picture my sister would approve of being posted on a blog - doesn't she look so cute?

Floating down the lazy river

"the guys" getting ready to go down the "toilet bowl" waterslide
Watching Thomas the Train videos before bed with Grandpa (Dad, bless your heart - I am sure you were so thrilled to be watching Cranky Bugs for the fortieth time, not!)

Sorry mom - I didn't realize until after I uploaded these pictures that I didn't have a single one of you on here! I'll have to make up for it when we go to the beach this summer!

In addition to good eats, water park fun, and enjoyable conversation, Kathi, mom, and I raided the Walgreens down the road from our hotel room to buy cheap diapers on Sunday morning! As many of you know, Huggies has posted a $5 coupon off a pack of diapers on Coupons.com, so we printed off a bunch of those and went to Walgreens for their own in-store special (buy $25 worth of Huggies, get $10 in register rewards to spend in the store at a later date). So...in reality, we spent $5 TOTAL on 3 packs of Huggies diapers. We each bought a number of packs and cleared the shelves! Yes, you can still act Dutch outside of West Michigan!
One last comment about our water park weekend - we just all died laughing on Sunday morning after waking up, as Grant so boldly proclaimed "Boy, Uncle Chad, you sure do make a lot of noise in the morning!" Hilarious! Hmmmm....what could you be referring to dear son??

On a separate note - it is so incredibly difficult for me to believe that our little Brooke is over three months old already! Where has the time gone?! She has been just a fantastic baby - sleeping through the night for the most part, cooing, smiling, grabbing toys, sucking on anything she can get her hands on, and just being such a pleasant baby. We are so blessed!
No - I did not tease her hair for this picture. Adding accessories is just one way that we try to add some sense of control over an uncontrollable head of hair!

Love the smile and single dimple! Too bad I didn't have red eye reduction activated on my camera!

Love it! I miss you guys already! Really...not necessary to post the "pregnant lady in a bathing suit" picture! :)

What fun! Kathi is such a great aunt to even get into the bathing suit at all, let alone have her picture taken. She's going to be a good mommy!
Kim, I can't get over how precious your kids are. Really, they're very easy on the eyes:-) I can't wait to meet Brooke this summer!
P.S. I think she looks like your dad...yes?
