Bob the Builder and First Smiles

It's been a busy week in the Petroelje house! From basketball games to meetings at church to Bob the Builder, the week has just flown by! My friend Heather asked me a few weeks back if I wanted to have a "date night" with our boys and go see Bob the Builder at DeVos Auditorium in G.R., so Tuesday night we headed out (thank goodness the weather wasn't as bad as they originally predicted!) and had a great time. Heather and I were worried that we'd be spending money on the tickets and our sons wouldn't want to pay attention but rather roam the auditorium; however, Grant and Isaac proved us wrong and were very attentive to the show! I had to laugh, though, because at one point in the show, Lofty (the crane, for those of you who don't follow Bob) turned into a "monster" and G freaked out. Lofty quickly turned back into Lofty, which relieved my distraught son; however, the entire ride home he repeated over and over "Mom, Lofty's not a monster!" just to reassure himself! It was quite comical.

The other "big" news of the week is that Brooke began to smile. I've been blog delinquent lately, as she started smiling last week; however, I just got around to catching her in action on video yesterday. Ignore the play-by-play of my voice!! (this smile's for you Aunt Kathi!)
