My sister is expecting, too!!! Yeahh!!! Congrats Kathi and Chad! We look forward to having another little one in the family as well as a playmate for Baby Petro come May!! I tell you what....this was NOT an easy secret to keep! Kathi and Chad shared the exciting news with us when we visited them at the end of September, so I had to keep my mouth shut for over a month!
As we gear up for the arrival of Baby Petro in a few short weeks (ahhh...only five left!), we have officially transitioned Grant to his new "big boy" bedroom. Grant has done great with it, but needless to say, it was kind of sad walking back into the nursery after clearing out all of G's stuff. He's growing up so quickly! Here is a picture of his first night in his new room.
I had to capture the moment, not just because it was his first night in his new pad, but because this is the trend in our house lately. We will say goodnight to him, turn out the lights, and shut the door. He will proceed to jump out of bed, flip the lights back on, "read" his books, and organize his stuffed animals for about 30 minutes before deciding it's time for him to finally go to sleep. He doesn't shut the lights off, though, so every night either Eric or I need to turn the lights off and re-tuck him in. It's so hard to get frustrated with this, as it's so cute to listen to him reading, and he eventually falls asleep anyway!

Grant looks so grown up in his big boy bed!! (I remember when we were sleeping in that bed!) What a stinkin' cutie he is...turning the lights on to "read" and then rearranging the animals...can't get much cuter than that! The room looks great - can't wait to see it in person! Miss you guys! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
What a sweetheart! Be honest. How many times have you crawled in and snuggled with him?
