Reese's mommy and daddy dropped her off around 6:00, as they had to go to a wedding. About a week go, I asked my daddy if he'd let me borrow the car for the night, and surprisingly, he agreed! As every gentleman would do, I made sure to open Reese's door for her and help her into the passenger side. Good thing my daddy's a driver's education instructor - he was able to give me a few big pointers before I hit the road (notice the correct hand position on the steering wheel??)
Our destination of choice for the night - Chuck E. Cheese! This is the first time either of us had been there, so we were quite pumped about the experience. As you might recall from an earlier post, I got a gift certificate to Chuck E. Cheese from my grandpa and grandma for Halloween, so I only had to borrow a few bucks from my folks for the occasion (my mom said she'd put me to work this week around the house to pay off the loan balance). We were able to gaze into each other's eyes from opposite sides of the table, perched in our booster seats, and we dined under the florescent lights on ham and pineapple pizza and sipped ice cold water from big boy and girl cups. How romantic.
Once our meal was finished, we shared the 45 tokens that came with our "package deal" and rode cars, the train, played skeet ball, experienced the "roller coaster," got our photo taken in one of those photo booths, rode a computer simulated sea doo (Reese wasn't too fond of this ride, so I was sure to hold her tight to assure her that it wasn't scary!), and slid down the slide.
I had such a fantastic time, that, by the end of the night, I knew I had to buy Reese something special. After we added up all our tickets, I had just enough to buy suckers for the both of us and a beautiful ring for Reese. No worries - I am not that fast of a mover! Proposals don't happy until one is at least 3 years old (and permission is obtained from a significant other's daddy!). Check out the rock on that finger!
Upon return home, my mommy changed us into our jammies and put us to bed (in separate rooms of course!!).
Ahh...a night I will never forget! Until next time, Reese....

Way to go Grant...you playa you! Sounds like you got more game than your daddy, uncles, and especially your grandpas! Maybe we can double when we're home for the holidays - your turn to drive!
Can't wait to see you!
Great post! I think Miya may be a little jealous though:( Grant is the only boy she knows her age...guess she'll have to start looking around. Hey G-Man, do you have any cute friends?
This is the cutest post ever. I'm a little disappointed, too though. I thought we made our intentions for Abbie and Grant very clear! Poor Abbie. Lucky Reese.
