Labor Day Weekend

Sigh......
Summer is over, but we got one last hurrah out in PA this past weekend visiting Kathi, Chad, and Brielle with my parents. This was the first time Eric, I, and the kids have been to their new place in Altoona since they moved earlier this summer. We had a blast. The house is beautiful and has a lot of room to roam (which is a good thing - because I don't think we all would have fit in their apartment!). We relaxed around the house, went to an amusement park, out for dinner (HAPPY 35TH ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!), and sat around the campfire at night. Lots of laughs to be had and good memories made. Here are some pics -

Brielle and I just hangin' around the campfire.
G and Grandpa roasting hot dogs (well...Grandpa roasting hot dogs, G playing with fire)
My little B - so happy! (Finally cut her first tooth over the weekend! Only took 9 months.)
Riding the boats - had to do this one a few times!
Grant's first roller coaster ride!
Love this picture (if you look close, Grant's got his hands up, too!)
The ladies didn't go on any rides at the park since we watched the little ones, so we had to get a group pic since we weren't in any of the others!
Just hanging out watching G in his glory on all the rides.
Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce...
We went to UNO's to eat, and Grant got to make his own pizza.

School is back in session, and while summer went by in the blink of an eye, it's nice to be back into a routine again. Grant decided to shake things up a bit last night, though, when he tripped while running through the living room and dove head first into the entertainment center. A trip to Urgent Care to patch things up a bit and life is good again (especially after suckers and stickers - the way to a 3 year olds heart). I had to laugh, because after I looked at the gash and determined he should probably get it checked out, I told him that we needed to go to the doctor. He started yelling - "No, no doctor! I don't want a stick in my throat!" The last time we went in he needed a strep test, and cannot get over the memory of that darn stick! Here's the war wound (a bit difficult to see with the camera flash).

I LOVE to see photos of your family...your sister is such a good person and to see your parents surrounded by their grandbabies makes me smile!
(I'm not really sure where this cheese came from, but that's my comment and I'm stickin' to it!)
