We spent a few days over the 4th of July holiday up in Mackinaw City with Eric's family. We were excited for a few days away from home and to spend some time with Eric's parents, brother Brian, and brother Steve, sister-in-law Joy, and nephews Tim, Luke, and Aaron. We went to Mackinac Island for a day, visited an indoor water park a few times, went mini golfing, frequented the shops (ladies), visited a friend of Brian's family cottage in the U.P. to kayak, four wheel, swim (guys), and of course ate Mackinac Island fudge ice cream and fudge!!! We had a very tired (and thus cranky and whiney - not a combination I have a lot of patience for!) little boy when all was said and done, but overall, we had a fantastic time!

It's hard to get four boys to sit still for a picture!!
Eric and I did the 8 mile trek around the island in pretty good time. Some people are so bad when it comes to biking etiquette! Drove us nuts! Plus, it's not easy to suddenly stop a tandem bike with a child seat on the back. One bonus - Grant got a much needed cat nap in on the ride. Not a very comfortable nap, but at least it was a nap!

Life doesn't get any better than this. Grant and Aaron just loved jumping on the bed (the more naked the better, in Grant's case!).
