I just love this season! (I think I say that about every season!). There's something about living in Michigan and being able to experience four distinct weather patterns and enjoying the little things about each one! We've loved playing outside in the cooler weather (except this week we had the kiddie pool out because it was 86!), going for bike rides, watching football games, etc.
Last week Grant started preschool. I cannot believe it - my little guy is in school. I blinked, and here we are! He is loving every single minute of it (especially being able to play on the playground outside! - BOYS!). I got to attend his first day with him to learn his routine and see all of the exciting things he will get to experience.

Picture out by the sign on the first day (I cannot BELIEVE how much he looks like my dad in this picture!)
Getting ready to listen to a story.
One afternoon last week Brooke and I went with my mom to Cranes to pick apples. The Honeycrisp were gone, unfortunately, but we still picked some super delicious apples - Fuji and Empire. We've been eating them like they're going out of style and will sure return for more before picking season is over! Maybe one of these days I'll become domesticated and make applesauce or go out on a limb and make a pie (but probably not!)!
This apple kept her occupied not only the entire time at the orchard but also the whole ride home!
We were fortunate to have Brielle in town all of last week because Chad and Kathi were in Rome. It sure was great hanging out with her (she and the kids play sooooo well together). We got to babysit her on Thursday and had a blast. It was difficult to send her back to Pennsylvania!!
We girls love our purses! :)
Eric and I went with Brian and Allison to ArtPrize last night downtown GR. We didn't go last year and I wish I would have, so I was excited to go! We got a sitter (yeah!), visited some of the exhibits, and went out for dinner. We had a great time. Many of the artworks were awesome, and downtown was very busy. Some of my favorites - the animals made of nails, the mermaid made of toothpicks, the gigantic penny made of pennies, 7 days of creation made out of crayon pieces, the coffin made of cigarette butts (it was named "coughin'" - how appropriate!), and the mural of Grand Rapids made out of teeny tiny airsoft balls. With 1700 exhibits, we sure didn't see all of them, so there are probably many others that would have amazed me. It was an overall fun atmosphere, and I will definitely return next year.
Eric's at the MSU vs. Northern Colorado State football game with his dad and brothers as I am writing this. I am sure they're having a great time, too!
