Putting Up (Taking Down??) The Christmas Tree

I always try to put up the Christmas tree and my household decorations the weekend following Thanksgiving. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the holidays; however, putting up my Christmas tree is not much to be desired. It's a pain in the rear end to assemble. Grant is at an age where he can actually "help" me decorate without being a detriment to my efforts. So, I charged him with putting on the unbreakable ornaments. He did a pretty good job, but as you can see below, we still have issues wearing pants around here. :)

Brooke, on the other hand, is at an age where the tree is just one giant temptation. She woke up from her nap and beelined right to the tree to start picking things off. I guess I'll have to elicit her help once the holidays are over! :) (by the way - she, actually, doesn't mind clothing - I just happened to have bathed her prior to this picture being taken and hadn't yet put jammies on!)

At least he has a shirt on... its one more article of clothing than the night he was playing volleyball and sporting his "bun hugger" uniform!

I love that Grant knows what he likes and you allow it. You're a good mommy.
P.S. Brooke looks so much like your dad!
